Sting has been forced to postpone several upcoming performances due to a temporary throat infection. However, the musician is recovering well and anticipates returning to the stage soon.

Sting is recovering from a temporary throat infection that forced him to postpone several performances. The 73-year-old musician shared an update on his Instagram on Wednesday, January 22, expressing gratitude for the well wishes and confirming his steady improvement. He eagerly anticipates resuming his shows and rescheduled appearances soon. The health announcement followed a day after Sting canceled an appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards and postponed three concerts.

Due to the illness, advised by his doctor, Sting had to regretfully cancel his attendance at the event on Thursday, January 23, where he was set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Two dates of his ongoing STING 3.0 concert tour were shifted to the summer to accommodate his recovery, affecting performances in Arizona and California. Additionally, Sting's scheduled performance at the Cherrytree Music Company's 20th-anniversary celebration on Saturday, January 25, has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 29. Fans holding tickets for the postponed shows are advised to keep them as they will be valid on the new dates. The singer's team apologized for any inconvenience and thanked fans for their understanding. Sting's next performance is currently scheduled for February, when he will join Billy Joel at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. This will be followed by a leg of the STING 3.0 tour across South America. Prior to his health setback, Sting and his wife Trudie Styler revealed in an interview with the Sunday Times that their son, Joe, lost his home in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. Styler shared that the situation was particularly heartbreaking as Joe has three young children. They have since found temporary housing for themselves and their pets at a pet-friendly hotel. Wildfires erupted in the Pacific Palisades on January 7 and rapidly spread throughout other parts of Los Angeles, causing significant damage and displacement. Many celebrities residing in the area have shared their experiences of losing homes and personal belongings.
