The former Florida coach has felt that way for years. In 1990, Florida State reportedly declined a chance to join the SEC and went instead to the ACC. Arkansas and South Carolina joined the SEC. “I used to sit back and say, ‘How come Alabama and Tennessee are not playing FSU like we have to every year?’” Spurrier said.
