Stephen Vogt began his big league career in 2012 as a catcher with Tampa Bay.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Much has changed for Stephen Vogt since making his big league debut for the Rays in April of 2012. But there’s one thing that will remain the same no matter what happens Friday in Vogt’s return to Tampa Bay for the first time as a manager with the Guardians.
“This place will always be special for my family and me and I’m sure it’ll feel no different as a manager and it’ll be a lot of fun.” “We’re going to continue to be us, do what we do,” Vogt said. “We play hard every day and yeah, we had a tough series in Detroit. We’ve had a lot of tough series in this first half and it doesn’t define who we are.”
