When is a cliche a good thing? When it defines the Cleveland Guardians.
BALTIMORE -- By definition a cliche is a worn phrase or opinion that does not show original thought by its user.
“All the cliches you can think of is what we want to be. We want to be the cliches because that’s what gets it done. I couldn’t be more proud of this group. They love each other. They fight for each other and they have each other’s back.” The Guardians, who have won seven straight and own the best record in the big leagues, beat a good Orioles team, 3-2, Monday night. On Tuesday night they came out on the winning end in a game in which the Orioles hit four homers and lost.Trivia time:
