Stay home or risk public hospitals be overwhelmed with Covid-19 cases, doctors plead

“The Communications and Multimedia Ministry has a key role in making sure that the importance of strict compliance of the MCO is multilingually communicated everywhere even on the streets through signage and banners,” he said in a statement. “If Malaysians continue to ignore the order, cases of infections may rise further similar to the situation in Italy, where after its people continued to congregate, attend mass gatherings and social activities in the beginning, there are now 35,713 Covid-19 related cases and 2,978 deaths as a result,” he said.
“However we are confident that with full compliance of the MCO, the country will soon see a decline in cases. We urge the public to be patient during this time and give its full support to the authorities in carrying out their duties,” he said.
