Wan Zulaika will be contesting for the first time, while this is Nushi's second election campaign as he had contested as a candidate for the Sungai Ramal seat in 2018.

Meanwhile, Wan Zulaika had worked with a bank's cards department and as a mother of four has served on the board of committee members in the parents and teachers associations of Kajang High School, SMK Bandar Rinching and SK Bandar Rinching.
She was also the former secretary of Taman Pelangi Semenyih Residents Association and TPS Phase 3 Rukun Tetangga.
