The focus will be on the state seats under the Kuala Selangor, Tanjong Karang, Sungai Besar and Sabak Bernam parliamentary constituencies.
Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional are key members of the unity pact in the peninsula.The polls will be a battle between state government policies and long-held sentiments and loyalties, says political analyst Dr Sivamurugan Pandian.
Noh, who is furious over being sacked from Umno this year, is said to be going all out to ensure his daughter’s victory. However, Sivamurugan cautioned that personalities like Noh cannot be dismissed, pointing to what happened in Tanjong Karang in the last general election.
