PETALING JAYA: A total of 15 police reports have been lodged in connection with damaged political flags and banners, says Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.
The Selangor police chief said the reports were lodged in various locations, including five in Kuala Selangor, two in Subang Jaya and one in North Klang.
"We urge all parties and their supporters not to take extreme measures during the state elections as stern action will be taken against those who commit criminal acts," he told a press conference after witnessing an election drill on Thursday . "Hotspots are referred to areas where trouble occurred during the previous General Election due to various factors including tight competition between rival parties."Rest assured, the police are ready to take action against anyone who disturb the peace and attempt to disrupt the election process," he said.
"We will deploy 13,043 officers and personnel during the election to ensure the safety of all involved.
