PETALING JAYA: Gerakan president Datuk Dominic Lau should stay out of contesting in Malay seats in the upcoming six state elections, warns Tasek Gelugor PAS Youth.

The division's vice-chief Mohamad Ikhwan Afiq Mohamad Anwar said that if the Gerakan president did not take heed of their warnings, the division would campaign as independent candidates in Telok Ayer Tawar and Permatang Berangan.

“Our division, with the voters in Permatang Berangan and Telok Air Tawar, will ensure both Gerakan and Bersatu candidates contesting in the two respective seats will lose if the demands are not met. Previously, it was circulated online that Perikatan Nasional was rumoured to have distributed the three state seats - Permatang Berangan, Sungai Dua and Telok Air Tawar - under the Tasek Gelugor parliamentary constituency to each of its component parties.
