Unity govt has never set aside Muslim, Malay agenda, says Zahid FMTNews FMTEng
Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at a gathering with the Kelantan Government Retirees Association in Gua Musang today.
He said the unity government had always defended Islam as the official religion, the sovereignty of the Malay Rulers, the special rights of the Malays and Bahasa Malaysia as the national language. He said despite all these, the unity government led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim continued to be accused of setting aside the Muslim and Malay agenda.
Zahid said although he wasn’t the religious affairs minister, his commitment to the development of Muslims was his priority.
