ISKANDAR PUTERI: MCA and MIC will play a crucial role in helping Umno and other unity government parties garner support from the Chinese and indian communities to win the upcoming six state elections, says Datuk Pandak Ahmad.
The Iskandar Puteri Umno deputy chief also said both parties decided to skip the state polls to avoid any conflict over seats to contest.
"I believe their reason to do so is to reduce any tension faced on where to field candidates and where we are confident to win," he said when met by reporters after the flood aid handover ceremony to villagers in Gelang Patah at Dewan Taman Nusantara here on Saturday . "Umno, MCA, and MIC have been together through thick and thin under Barisan and we still need them to help us in the campaign for the coming elections," he added.
