PETALING JAYA: MCA and MIC should be equally involved during the campaigns despite their decision to sit out during the coming state polls, says Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
The Selangor Pakatan Harapan chairman said while the decision not to contest should be respected, in the spirit of unity, the parties have their role in future administrations.
“I’m very open to the idea for them to be involved with us during the campaign, as well as to form the government later. “The decision is within the family of Barisan Nasional and I respect that. However, I mention because we maintain the concept and coalition of unity. “In any coalition, it is not a matter of who is confident or not , and in the ongoing negotiations, there has not been any issue raised of any party being set aside,” said the Selangor Mentri Besar after presenting RM26.5mil in aid to Selangor schools today at the Shah Alam Convention Centre.
“More heads are better than one and in this case, we will continue discussing how to proceed for the state polls,” he added.
