74 running back in his class, per the 247Sports Composite, Sheffey took an official visit to Penn State this week to get acclimated to new coach Matt Campbell and his staff.However, Sheffey’s future could also take place at defensive back, where he spent time in high school. He’s a strong athlete and has multiple avenues to success.Once committed to Syracuse for more than a year, Sheffey now joins a rebuilding Penn State 2026 recruiting class under Campbell. He is the 13th high school prospect to commit in a group that ranks 85th nationally. The future outlook at running back is also murky.
