State owned enterprises have been a big focus of the president’s testimony at the state capture commission of inquiry these past two days. The president has spoken about his decision to stay on as deputy president even when the full picture of state capture emerged. To discuss this further, Sally Burdett speaks to former Prasa chair Popo Molefe.
Former Prasa chairperson Popo Molefe says he did not get political support from the ANC’s, then, top six when he wanted to deal with corruption at the embattled agency. Molefe says ANC leaders had the power to help him root out corruption but refused to do so.
