A Stark County family is working to keep a murderer in prison. Lincoln Mabry, 83, shot and killed Becky Kerr on February 15, 1980.

Mabry shot Becky at a gas station in Perry Township on Southway Road and Perry Drive. Becky’s eight-year-old daughter witnessed the shooting. Mabry is typically up for parole every five years. 19 News also talked to Becky’s family in 2022. He is back at the table in 2024. The family is puzzled why this is happening three years early.19 News reached out to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. We did not get a clear answer.
