Did a forgotten Jar Jar Binks episode set up Ahsoka?
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Dathomiri Great Mothers introduced in Ahsoka seem to be in a big hurry to depart Peridia, and one theory would suggest the power they fear could be related to a forgotten episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
It’s revealed Mother Talzin is behind the Cult of Malmourral and trying to steal the Force essence of the Bardottans to maker herself “more powerful than any Sith or Jedi.” Jar Jar Binks and Mace Windu thwart her attempts and she vanishes in a shrieking cloud of green mist. Long ago, the Dathomiri harnessed the purrgil space whales to cross to a new galaxy and spread their power, suggesting Mother Talzin’s objectives in The Clone Wars could be related to the objectives of the Great Mothers in Ahsoka. Baylan Skoll already revealed he’s seeking a “Greater Power,” so now it seems convenient that Mother Talzin also boasted of a power “more powerful than any Sith or Jedi” in The Clone Wars while Baylan Skoll's search for “power.
How The Clone Wars’ Forgotten Episode Could Be the Key to Ahsoka’s True Villain While The Clone Wars' "The Disappered" episodes aren't usually cited as essential viewing, as with other episodes featuring Jar Jar Binks, it would by typical Dave Filoni fashion to turn the events of those episodes into essential plot set-up for Ahsoka. While it seemed mostly disconnected at the time, viewing it after seeing the Great Mothers on Peridia, a few things stand out in The Disappeared.
