Squid Game season 2 introduces Gyeong-seok, a player driven to participate in the deadly games to pay for his daughter Na-yeon's blood cancer treatment. In a shocking twist, Gyeong-seok is killed during the Player revolt, leaving Na-yeon without a father and her medical care uncertain.

Gyeong-seok's daughter Na-yeon is a key background character in the highly anticipated Squid Game season 2 . The first three episodes of Squid Game season 2 show Gi-hun returning to the Squid Game as Player 456 to seek revenge on the Front Man . It also introduces the brand new Squid Game character Gyeong-seok, played by Lee Jin-wook, who participates as Player 246 in the most recent version of the Squid Game .

Na-yeon Is Now Without A Father After Gyeong-seok’s Death Na-yeon died valiantly helping Gi-hun In one of the most shocking twists in Squid Game season 2, Gyeong-seok is shot and killed during the Player revolt in episode 7,"Chingu-inga Jeog-inga". Since he was one of the several characters killed in the Squid Game season 2 finale, his daughter Na-yeon is now tragically without a father, which almost certainly means that she has no one to help pay for her blood cancer treatments.

Posts 1 The conditions of Gyeong-seok's murder make the tragic scenario even more gruesome. After running out of ammo, he begs the Pink Guards to spare his life and allow him to return to the Players' chambers. Without hesitation, and despite Gyeong-seok's pleading, the Pink Guard shoots and apparently kills the Squid Game revolter. It's entirely possible that No-eul could have been the Pink Guard who pulled the trigger that killed Gyeong-seok.
