The Springfield Township Police Department is investigating multiple vehicle break-ins possibly involving a stolen vehicle.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - The Springfield Township Police Department is investigating multiple vehicle break-ins possibly involving a stolen vehicle. The break-ins occurred on Pickle Road , Millstone Drive , and Titleist Drive between 4 a.

m. and 5 a.m. Monday morning, according to a social media post from the Springfield Township Police Department .“My husband was out at 6:30 a.m. to go to work and thought there was an animal trap on our grass, and it was the glass bashed out from the window of his truck,” said Lockhart.“They really needed it, my husband said, ‘I would have left three dollars on the dashboard if you really needed it,’ you didn’t have to cause $600 dollars’ worth of damages,” said Lockhart. Lockhart told 19 News that her family is already moving to take safety a step further in their house. “It’s terrifying, we’re going to double down on security, we’re getting cameras all over and pointing at all angles from the house. It’s not something we ever thought we’d have to deal with, and we’re taking precautions moving forward,” said Lockhart. Police said the suspect possibly used a truck stolen in Green to facilitate the break-ins. Other break-ins were also reported in Green at the same time. If you have any video of the break-ins or noticed suspicious activity early Monday morning, you can call the STPD at 330-733-1061.Copyright 2025 WOIO. All rights reserved.
