Investigators with the Houston Police Department were working to gather statements from witnesses in the area.

"In handing down the prison terms, the court noted Barrios violated a position of trust as a father with minor children in the household," the USAO said.Oscar Barrios pleaded guilty to the charges in November. On Thursday, the attorney's office announced that a judge has sentenced Barrios to 144 months in prison for distribution and receipt of child pornography charges and 120 months for possession of child pornography charges. They will run concurrently.

"In handing down the prison terms, the court noted Barrios violated a position of trust as a father with minor children in the household," the attorney's office said. The man reportedly sent and received child porn on various messaging platforms and chatrooms. The USAO said one of those chatrooms was called"Pedo Lives Matter." People in this chatroom reportedly traded child pornography.

A search of his devices uncovered 66 child pornography videos and a photo of child pornography, according to the USAO. The case was investigated by the FBI with help from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Barrios will also be required to register as a sex offender and pay $20,500 in restitution to his victims.
