The draw for the third round saw two Lanarkshire sides handed home ties
SPFL Trust Trophy holders Airdrie will begin the defence of their crown at League One Queen of the South next month.
The draw for the third round of the competition was made this afternoon and the Diamonds were handed a trip to Dumfries.There are a couple of other Lanarkshire sides involved with Hamilton Accies - the 2022/23 champions - also entering at this stage of the tournament, while East Kilbride progressed past East Stirlingshire on penalties last week to qualify.Clyde and Albion Rovers were knocked out by Rangers B and Cowdenbeath, respectively, in the last round.
