House Speaker Martin Romualdez has humbly asked Filipinos to pray for him and his fellow congressmen as the nation prepares to welcome the New Year.

“The opening of a New Year is an opportunity to start fresh, whether we set out goals for self-improvement, rekindle broken ties, embark on career advancement, or just enjoy the simple pleasures of life,” Romualdez said in his New Year message on Friday, Dec. 30.

Romualdez said this “right direction” includes the “path to economic stability and a country where no one gets left behind”. At any rate, Romualdez reckoned that the House has “exceeded expectations” so far in the 19th Congress.
