While the arctic air has moved out of South Texas, the weekend will be chilly with below-average temperatures and light rain. Next week will bring warmer temperatures, a cold front, and a high chance of heavy precipitation, including thunderstorms.

Arctic air has finally moved out of South Texas . However, if you were looking for an immediate transition to warm weather, look again. You’ll want to keep the jackets handy, as this weekend’s weather will be highlighted by mostly cloudy skies, below-average temperatures, and even a bit of light rain or drizzle. Big changes are coming, though. Next week will consist of a little bit of everything.

A weak cold front also is expected to move through San Antonio by the middle of the day. While not an arctic front, it will keep temperatures at well below-average levels. Highs on Sunday will only reach the mid-50s, falling into the upper 40s by Sunday night. Changes coming next week Chilly Monday: Cloudy skies will continue into Monday, which will keep temperatures slightly below average.
