On Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, Congressman Joaquin Castro, Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai, and Bexar County Precinct 1 Commissioner Rebeca Clay-Flores gathered to celebrate the securing of $750,000 for essential renovations to the center. The much-needed renovations at the South San Civic Center will focus on improving accessibility and functionality. Plans include adding accessible ramps and handrails, upgrading restrooms, and making comprehensive improvements to the parking lot.
