We didn’t get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!”Then, after episode 5 airs next Wednesday, fans will be waiting three more weeks before episode 6 airs on Oct. 15. From there, South Park is set to resume its usual every-other-week release schedule for episodes 7-10, which are to air Nov. 12, Nov. 26 and Dec. 10. As stated in the episode 5 cancellation announcement, South Park episodes oftentimes aren’t finalized until hours before they broadcast. Even though many television programs are filmed in its entirety before starting a new season, Stone and Parker clearly have a different approach for the animated series.,” where they highlight how a 22-minute episode is put together in just six days, and finalized just in time for a weekly release. The series no longer releases weekly like it did in 2011. Both men recently signed a deal worth $1.5 billion to produce 50 episodes of their popular satirical cartoon for Paramount.
