The 24-year-old’s contract at the City Ground runs until 2025 after he joined from Huddersfield last summer for aO’Brien spent the late stages of last season on loan with MLS side DC United and made 19 appearances for the American club.DC United agreed to a break clause in the loan that allowed the former Huddersfield man to return to England in the summer instead of remaining in America until the end of their season in November.
