A new Sonos streaming device codenamed 'Pinewood' is reportedly in the works and set to launch in late 2024. The device will reportedly cost between $200 and $400 and offer a unified interface for streaming services like Netflix, Max, and Disney Plus. It will feature integrated Sonos Voice Control, a physical remote, multiple HDMI ports, and the ability to wirelessly transmit TV audio to Sonos soundbars and speakers. Sonos is reportedly putting 'ambitious quality benchmarks' in place to ensure Pinewood's success after previous app issues.
Mark Gurman reported that the company was working on a streaming device codenamed "Pinewood" back in 2023. He said it was going to cost between $150 and $200, but sources told the publication that it would set buyers back between $200 and $400 instead.
