But Soniia believes she has improved a lot in terms of mental toughness and that could help her stage an upset. Soniia and several national team players were sent to the renowned Banthongyord Badminton School in Bangkok for a 10-day training stint. Soniia was among those who stood out as she downed Japan’s world No. 3 Akane Yamaguchi in the group stage.
