In his first official address to the nation as Prime Minister that was televised live last night, he understands that while his appointment was not by way of a general election, but instead, he was appointed after getting the majority support from the MPs.

Muhyiddin also said that he had to make the tough decision to accept the Prime Minister’s role or continue to support Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to remain in the Prime Minister’s seat.“I know you are all already tired of the crisis. As a leader, I had to find a solution to end it. I couldn’t let the crisis continue, ” he said.

His administration will focus on realising the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030, which is aimed at boosting growth and narrowing the economic gap among the people. Muhyiddin also stressed that he is the Prime Minister for all Malaysians and called for their support to help him carry out his duty.
