A pastor at Solid Rock Church filed the complaint with Myrtle Beach Police Dept. on May 1 regarding a slew of social media posts and messages directed at the church following 30-year-old Mica Miller's passing. Mica's estranged husband, John-Paul Miller, is a pastor at Solid Rock. Mica was also an active member of multiple ministries within the church.
On May 1, four days after Mica died by suicide in Robeson County, the complainant, who is listed in the police report as one of the pastors at Solid Rock, told police she and the church received multiple Facebook messages and emails in the days following Mica's death. The responding officer was shown multiple posts and messages that were sent to the complainant and the church. The report said there were no direct threats of violence in the messages.
