A Philadelphia man’s allegation that he was suicidal in prison when correction officers tried to egg him into harming himself more was put to the test by his therapist from prison, who testified at his civil trial Tuesday.
Julie Criste, a licensed social worker and outpatient therapist, took the stand late in the afternoon at Harrisburg’s federal courthouse and reviewed several reports she authored about Kevin Coit, who was incarcerated at SCI Smithfield five years ago.
