The system of moisture is being pulled to the north, and is no longer expected to come down far enough to soak Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino county communities.
Light rain is expected to move into Ventura County areas and northern parts of L.A. County starting late Thursday and into Friday morning. Opportunities for scattered rain will linger through Monday morning. Los Angeles and Orange counties will see a high temperature of around 63 degrees, with about a quarter-inch of rain falling - lightly in the morning and a little heavier by evening.
The valleys and Inland Empire will reach a high of 61 degrees with about a quarter-inch of rain falling.Mountain communities will see a high of 46 degrees, dropping to 23 at night. About 1-2 inches of snow are expected to fall at elevations over 7,500 feet.
