A cold front is swooping down from the northwest, bringing some light showers to the area, with snow to the mountains.
Los Angeles and Orange counties will see about a 40% chance of rain in the morning, with an 80% chance by the evening. But only about a quarter-inch is expected. The high temperature will reach around 60 degrees in the daytime and drop to 49 at night. The valleys and Inland Empire will reach a high of 58 degrees, with a chance of rain in the morning and a stronger likelihood in the evening, with about a half-inch total expected to fall.Mountain communities will see a high of 42 degrees, dropping to 20 degrees at night. Light snow will fall at higher elevations.
