Sneak peek for Slayter Creek Splash Pad
The City Council on Sept. 16 approved a contract with Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds and Waterparks to design and rebuild the park.
One of the park’s $2.5 million in enhancements is an 11,500-gallon water tank, which has 10 times the capacity of its predecessor. The wet surface area also increased by more than 2,000 square feet, allowing for more water features and interactive play zones. The city of Anna s newly renovated Slayter Creek Park Splash Pad, which has a water tank 10 times the size of the former one and upgraded amenities including interactive play zones, canopies and more surface area for play.
Other enhancements include sidewalks for pedestrian connectivity to the existing pavilion, a new fitness court and sun shades throughout the splash pad. “We are extremely excited about the transformation of our splash pad,” said Marc Marchand, director of neighborhood services. “This renovation represents a significant investment in our community’s recreational infrastructure, providing a safe and engaging environment for families and children to cool off and have fun during the summer months.”Since the splash pad will not yet be open for the long weekend, here are a few others in Collin County to consider:, 701 Angel Parkway.
