SMU’s B.J. Edwards received some recognition for his huge week that powered the Mustangs to a pair of wins. The ACC named Edwards the conference’s Player of the Week on Monday after he averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.5 steals in SMU’s wins over Wake Forest and Florida State. He was remarkably efficient in the two games, shooting 58% from the floor, including an impressive 6-of-12 from 3-point range.and Edwards was the catalyst for the Mustangs, registering 24 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and a whopping six steals in the game.
