No one was injured in the shooting at the Smashburger restaurant in Butler Township, Ohio.
BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A worker at a Smashburger restaurant was taken into custody by police Sunday after he reportedly exchanged gunfire with a man during an apparent argument inside a southwest Ohio location, reports say.say the man entered the restaurant just before 5:30 p.m. Police did not say if the man was a customer.WDTN Channel 2 reports
. The employee pulled out a gun and returned fire, police say. Both men then fled separately from the restaurant. No one was hit by gunfire, but a child suffered an unspecified injury as his father attempted to shield him, reports say. The child was treated at a hospital. The Smashburger worker later was taken into custody, but there are no reports on possible criminal charges. Police still are searching for the other man involved.
