Ben Grumbles' four years as Orange Township trustee has been at times contentious with colleagues. He announced his resignation for a job in Indiana.
Orange Township Trustee Ben Grumbles, who sought to extend his term in 2021 by running for the position he already held, turned in his resignation on Monday at a special township meeting.
"It's a pretty sensitive role working on some sensitive topics," Grumbles said."I'm ready to join my family and start fresh with them." Grumbles last day will be May 18, he said. The remaining trustees, Erica Fouss and Lisa Knapp, will have 30 days to appoint a replacement for Grumbles. "We've had no conflict in almost two years?" he asked Knapp, who replied,"Nothing we haven't worked through."
