A micro pub has permanently closed in a Nottinghamshire town, with its owner citing a recent "slump in trade". The Millipede, situated just off Stapleford's high street, served its final rounds on Monday, October 16.
"People don't have as much disposable income, they're drinking at home and buying from the supermarket. We just don't have the right turnover. We couldn't get the staff in so I thought I'd had enough, it was enjoyable during the last days."The musician from West Hallam said "old age" was also a factor as well as the fact nearby car parking spaces had been recently permitted.
