But one big final hurdle remains
Plans have been approved for more than 130 homes to be built in a tiny Nottinghamshire village. A planning application for 131 houses on farmland off Hayden Lane, Linby, was approved by Gedling Borough Council's planning committee on Wednesday, October 18, but doubts remain over whether permission will be granted for two access roads by neighbouring Ashfield District Council.
"I have some sympathy with the problems of getting a dentist's appointment and GP appointments but I am reassured that the amount the services have asked for to offset the effect of this development are being met."Councillor Paul Wilkinson, Labour representative for Carlton, agreed and stated: "I am happy with the development that is being put forward.
Education authority Nottinghamshire County Council said there were enough spaces for the projected increase in demand for primary education, but added there was insufficient space for secondary and post 16 education. It requested a contribution of £ 746,672 from the developer, with £551,334 towards secondary education, £105,016 towards post 16 education contribution of £105,016, and a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities place of £90,322.
