Singapore to table bill on polls safety in view of Covid-19

A BILL expected to be tabled next week will allow Singapore’s Elections Department to put in place temporary arrangements to ensure a safe general election should it be held amid the Covid-19 pandemic. “The health and safety of voters, candidates and election officials is paramount to us,” said the department in a statement issued today in response to media queries on the Parliamentary Elections Bill.
