Singapore has reclaimed its position as the world's most powerful passport, according to the latest Henley Passport Index. Holders of the Singapore an passport enjoy visa-free access to 195 out of 227 destinations worldwide, more than any other country. Japan follows closely behind in second place with access to 193 destinations, after regaining visa-free access to China.
The EU member states of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, and South Korea share the third spot, with access to 192 destinations. The fourth position is held by seven EU countries: Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, each with visa-free access to 191 destinations. Rounding out the top five are Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, all with access to 190 destinations. At the other end of the spectrum, Afghanistan remains at the bottom of the ranking with visa-free access to just 26 destinations.
