Boris Johnson has announced that hotels, B&Bs and campsites can open from early July.

We hate to disappoint, but our first post-lockdown weekend away will be a British one. Not least because airports seemhold its own against the cosmopolitan European cities we’d usually opt for - it boasts rolling countryside, fish and chips by the sea and abundance of pasties, after all. What's more, Boris Johnson has announced that hotels, B&Bs and campsites can re-open their doors from July 4. So a weekend break in the UK could be just around the corner.
