Queen Elizabeth II's funeral is set to take place on Monday 19 September and a number of businesses across the UK will be closing during the service.
While it is entirely down to employers whether staff are given the day off or not, schools and colleges across the UK will be closed on the day of Her Majesty's funeral, along with many businesses. Certain leading retailers and major supermarkets are in the process of finalising plans for the day of the funeral, including Sainsbury's, Asda and Waitrose.
