Shoplifting suspect shot, killed by Phoenix police officer near 35th Avenue and Roosevelt Street

Armed man reportedly fired gun at officer, but officer was not struck

PHOENIX — Phoenix police say one person was killed in a shooting involving an officer near 35th Avenue and Roosevelt Street overnight.

When the officer tried to make contact with the suspected shoplifters, they split up and ran in separate directions. ABC15 IS HERE TO HELP Do you have a concern in your community or a news tip?
