The suspect fled toward Wagar Road, according to a Rocky River press release. A Rocky River officer found the suspect attempting to board a bus on Wagar Road near Center Ridge Road. The suspect, upon seeing the officers, ran through a nearby parking lot, where a Rocky River officer caught the 32-year-old Geneva man. The suspect had a paper bag filled with Nike socks and Adidas underwear. The merchandise still had Kohl’s price tags on it. Rocky River officers arrested the suspect and turned him over to the Fairview Park Police Department.Suspended license: Hilliard Boulevard An officer stopped a car at 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 23 on Hilliard Boulevard for driving with only one working headlight. The officer learned the driver, a 45-year-old Cleveland woman, had a suspended driver’s license. The woman was cited for driving on a suspended license, and her car was towed.Several callers reported to the police department at 2 p.m. on Dec. 24 that a man in a white tow truck was yelling at an elderly woman on Morewood Parkway while pounding on her house door. Responding officers found the man, a 41-year-old Cleveland resident, pulling out of the woman’s driveway in the tow truck. Officers stopped to speak with the man, who said he had used her driveway to get through to another house where he was completing chimney work. He then began swearing at officers and asking them what they expected him to do.
