A 15-year-old girl who opened fire at a Wisconsin school, killing a teacher and a student, has been linked to the Columbine school massacre through a T-shirt she allegedly wore.
Natalie Lynn Rupnow, the 15-year-old shooter at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, has reportedly been pictured wearing the same T-shirt as the Columbine school shooters. Rupnow was identified at 9.30 p.m. ET at a news conference in Wisconsin on Monday. Since then, posts and pictures from her social media, and the social media of family members, have been circulating, including photos of her purported to be wearing the garment.
Officials have said her family is cooperating with the investigation and her home is being searched. In a post by a Jeff Rupnow, who appears to be the father of the shooter, Natalie Rupnow is firing a gun at a shooting range and is reportedly wearing the KMFDM t-shirt. This picture was shared on Jeff Rupnow's Facebook page in August this year. In another picture that has been circulating on social media, Natalie Rupnow is taking a picture of herself in the mirror, wearing a KMFDM t-shirt. A manifesto allegedly written by Natalie Rupnow has been circulating on social media. However, police have said they are not able to say if it is authentic. Speaking at the press conference on Monday night, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said: 'A document about this shooting is circulating on social media, but we have not verified its authenticity.' We're certainly aware that it's been posted and the person who posted it alleged to have a connection with the victim,' Barnes said.
