Authorities said three people are dead, including the shooter, during a school shooting at a private Wisconsin Christian school Monday.
Emergency vehicles are parked outside the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wis., where multiple injuries were reported following a shooting, Monday, Dec. 16, 2024.
"During the media briefing earlier this afternoon, it was erroneously shared that five were deceased, city officials wrote in itsMadison police identified the shooter as a student at the school, but did not release their name or the names of the victims during their first news conference. "Officers located a juvenile who they believe was responsible for this deceased in the building," Barnes said. He noted that police did not fire their weapons when they rushed into the school.
Police and other first responders arrived at Abundant Life Christian School shortly before 11 a.m. to reports of an active shooter.A reunification center at Dean Clinic located at 1821 S. Stoughton Road has been set up as police continue to clear the school.
