The Strictly Come Dancing judge was left red-faced after enthusiastically heading to the airport a day early to go and see her son for the first time in three years
Strictly Come Dancing's Shirley Ballas had to laugh off her embarrassment after turning up at the airport a day early for her flight.
She said that the check-in staff said the ballroom dancer was a "little bit over-enthusiastic" for her flight, and leaving her "feeling silly" at her mix-up. "So I got back in my car and came home. I don't fly until tomorrow but boy oh boy do I feel silly. Up really early just because I was thinking 'I haven't seen my boy in three years. Off I'll go, all enthusiastic', but it was not to be today.She also captioned the video, where she advised people who have not travelled in a long time to "read your ticket" before heading off to the airport.
Plenty of people have since commented on Shirley's post, either joining in with her laughing or sharing their own self-inflicted travel troubles.
