Lee Myers, a father in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, is struggling to cope after a sinkhole forced him and his sons to evacuate their home. Despite the borough manager stating that a water main break issue was resolved, Myers claims his family's situation remains unaddressed, leaving them in a single hotel room for an uncertain duration.
A Shippensburg father of two is calling out for help after a massive sinkhole caused him and his sons to be evacuated from their home.The borough manager, Kevin Plasterer, told us they were working on a four-inch water line break. It was happening only steps away from where they had discovered the sinkhole that had cost two families, including the Myers family, their homes.Lee Myers said this whole situation has become even more frustrating.
Myers said they were left with only what they could carry out on the day crews discovered the sinkhole in front of their home. "I haven't slept in a week. I get like three hours of sleep. I'm waking up in sweats. I mean, ask my kids. I'm pacing around the room, and all I do — I'm on the phone constantly, taking calls, calling people, writing stuff down and arguing with just about everybody," Myers said. "I just want to be able to breathe.
