Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown's reelection campaign could determine which party controls the Senate for the next two years.

Democrats are also on defense in other presidential battlegrounds including Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Polling has mostly indicated a Democratic advantage in those races, but they are all heading into Election Day as too close to call, adding to the importance of Brown winning a fourth term in Ohio.
Moreno got off to a bit of a late start in turning his attention to the general election campaign after a drawn-out primary that diverted focus away from who would be the nominee instead of defeating the incumbent. Some polling indicates that a lack of name recognition may be hurting Moreno’s standing with three weeks left until Election Day.on the race last month that showed Brown with a 49-45 lead, just outside the poll’s margin of error.
Brown has built a brand of populist policies and occasionally criticized his own party on issues like the border and fentanyl entering the country, which is expected to result in some ticket-splitting of Trump at the top and Brown for Senate.
