A dream vacation in the Bahamas turned into a terrifying ordeal for two American tourists when they were attacked by a shark while swimming in Bimini Bay. Rileigh Decker, 20, and Summer Layman, 24, suffered bites from what they believe was a bull shark. They were airlifted to a hospital in the Bahamas and later flown back to Florida for treatment. Decker underwent two surgeries to clean the wound and is awaiting a third. Both women are hoping to make a full recovery but say they will never enter the ocean again.

“I just put my head in my hands and started praying that God wouldn’t take my life and I would live,” Rileigh Decker, 20, said through tears from her hospital bed. “It was very scary.”A dream vacation in the Bahamas for two young American tourists turned into a nightmare when they jumped into the sparkling blue water hand-in-hand and mere minutes later were attacked by a shark.
